Artist's description:

This new oil painting is about my life as an art student and the poverty I experienced in Benwell, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. My main influences in this artwork are Sickert and Degas.
The narrative of this painting, is that I was washing up one day and played "peek a boo" through the kitchen window with two local children.
This painting reflects the harsh urban environment that these children were growing up in and in which I was living.
