Peak is my boho hippie Goddess princess flashing a peace sign. It's purely for fun and the twinkle in her eye shows that spirit. This piece was titled by my 4 year old grand nephew.
I made Peak using what I call a "morph model". I want to work from "life" (a photo) but I don't want to copy a photographer's work, For this reason, I take the photos of two celebrities and, using a morphing program, I combine them. Then I have something real to work from but the model photo is something entirely new and original.
Just for fun, can you figure out which two famous actresses are combined here? I will reply to all guesses.
This piece is acrylic and watercolor and incorporates wallpaper scraps, fabrics, recycled candy wrappers, beads, sequins, ribbon, a shell and her hair is made of wax crayon drips.
