Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is a manipulated photograph entitled 'Peace over Hiroshima' for the Earth Day on 22nd April & VJ Day on 15th August in UK, 2nd September in US (Victory over Japan).

It depicts an aerial view of the Hiroshima in Japan which is centred around the bridge that was used by the aircraft to locate the bombing raid during World War II in 1945. The river has natural fork in it, and the Artist has taken modified this to from the natural centre point of the icon logo used by CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament).
