This vibrant, colorful painting depicts a shaded square in the town of Velleron, near Avignon, France. I spent a morning wandering the hilly streets of this village, and it seemed that all roads somehow kept leading me back to this fountain. The summer day was hot and sunny, so I was happy to spend some time in the shade by this fountain soaking in my surroundings.
