Artist's description:

Black and white screenprint from my series of great women artists.

Recognised as one of the creators of Modernism, along with Picasso and Matisse, she is also acknowledged as one of the first female painters to portray the female nude. Despite her tragic death at 31, from an embolism shortly after giving birth to her only child, her output was extraordinary, producing over 500 paintings, along with etchings and drawings, in her short life.
