A fine pale crescent moon lights a summer landscape behind two lovers who embrace by a suggestion of flowing water in the foreground of the image.
With her arms raised and her long dark hair flowing, their bodies frame a receding landscape of bushes and trees, all bathed in the pale moonlight, creating a calm pastoral scene.

These are my favourite colours; I very rarely use vivid colouring in my artwork or even in my everyday clothing! I love painting in subdued colours which in 2016 have been greatly influenced by my current works on Indian Khadi paper which I buy in muted shades of blue and grey.
