Artist's description:

I've always been a big fan of impressionism. Vincent Van Gogh being one of my favorites. I have a print of Starry Night hanging up in my bedroom, I study it everyday when I'm sitting at my desk typing on the PC.. The impasto brush strokes remind me of a vinyl record, in the sense that you have a artist emotion physically recorded, etched on a surface, one note at a time.. You can see and touch the expression. Van Gogh wasn't just making a picture of something, he was recording what he was feeling at that given moment. To me that's the essence of making art. And it's an approach I set out to emulate to the best of my ability everytime I begin a painting.

This original was painted in oil on 16 X 20 stretched back stapled canvas. Ready to hang. Note this painting is a few years old, I have since taken on a different way of signing my art. When I painted this I simply signed with my initials, DMU.

Thank you for viewing my art!
