A limited edition, hand printed screen print, made in England.

Books are deeply personal things. Each of us form unique link with the characters we read about, relate to storylines and personalities in different ways and enjoy all sorts of genres from crime to romance, history to fantasy.
I have had a hard think about the books that are closest to my heart and come up with a list of 20 novels that mean the most to me, a lot of the classics to less well-known stories deserving of a wider audience.
This list should be the start of discussion between family, friends, children, book lovers or not: why do we read? What is a good book? What would be your list?

This work highlights also the importance of the cover and the image in the literature and how the visual art can create a play with the covers, adding some colours and so put more attention on the books.

Libraries tend to occupy a sacred space in modern culture. People adore them.
The grandest libraries, built like monstrous cathedrals, are particularly beloved.
This is a theme that comes up repeatedly in Borges’s work “Paradise is a library, not a garden” he famously said.

Please note colour may vary (only slightly) in the flesh.

This screen print was hand printed in water based inks on 300gsm Cartridge Paper.
