Artist's description:

This watercolor paintings was inspired by flowers growing in my garden. I added other plants that grow here in Florida as well to create a decorative composition. When the plants bloom they add very colorful and striking element to the garden. They are so exotic and interesting that I have been planning to paint them for a while. The new batch of blooms were so profuse I had to paint them immediately. I had the perfect Windsor and Newton 300 pound watercolor paper. It took layers and layers to achieve the vibrant tones. This high quality paper kept the richness and brightness of the paints. I loved working with both the paints and this special paper. The paper is deliberately torn at the edges creating an irregular line. The work can be framed either showing the distinctive edges or they can be covered.
