In my paintings of the series Panta rhei I have dealt with the theme of transience in human life. "Panta rhei" - everything flows, is the formula of the Greek philosopher Heraclitus and means, similar to the quote "You can not get into the same river twice.", that everything in life is in the process of change. We humans change not only externally, but also internally. Every new day, every new encounter, every new piece of information affects our thoughts and therefore affects us as people. All this went through my head when I painted my self-portraits, the look back, the traces that were left, the look ahead, what brings me life still.
