“What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?” ― Wilfred Owen.
Last year we marked the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. As we approach this striking anniversary once again I have returned to the poignant words of poet soldier Wilfred Owen. Again his voice has echoed through the century and here in memoriam is my monoprint collage, illustrated by freehand using digital pen and pad and created using the words of one of his great poems, Anthem for Doomed Youth.
This 8x8'', one-of-a-kind print artwork is printed on a Bockingford textured fine art paper, a paper that delivers a rich textured finish with an archival quality.
