I had everything ready for my usual ink & pencil piece when suddenly, out of no where, came the idea to use charcoal. Wow. I've not done a charcoal piece in years. Many years. I just had this strange urge to give it a go... and if there is one thing an artist MUST do (possibly even the only thing an artist must do), it is to follow you gut. I hope you think it was worth it...
