Religion and cultures which dominate the world today are very misogynistic in nature. Women, who once were revered for their natural potency to create life have become the temptresses and the origin of sin! Women have been dominated and enslaved by men for centuries as lesser humans. This painting tries to portray the hypocrisy of our society and its patriarchal attitude towards women who have become objects to be desired, used and broken by men for the pleasure of men and then be ostracized as the seed of sin! I have used watercolor wash on handmade paper and then drawn the details with a pen using waterproof ink.
