In this work, I wanted to find a window into a moment when time stops, and all but the present is obliterated. So often the ordinary can be transcendent, all one needs to do is simply stop and pay attention. Yet that can be the most difficult task, as the mind wants to sort and understand as it perceives and turn experience into language. The restless, seeking mind can cut us off from our senses, we must struggle to regain awe in our ordinary perceptions.
