The North Somerset Art Group, of which I am a member, organised a recent exhibition with the limitation of 20cm on the dimensions of the work. Initially, this constraint seemed an unnecessary inconvenience but then I became intrigued to see if I could create a number of images that, despite their small size, would be bold enough to demand attention. The simple forms of fruit and vegetables were chosen for their shapes and contrasting colours as I did not want to clutter the image with detail. This image of the orange and lemon is one of a series of five that I produced for the exhibition. For Artfinder I have mounted the canvases in float frames.
