Thunderstorms are wonderful phenomena to observe at any time of the day but the night is probably one of the best moments - maybe the best - to watch them.
The night emphasizes the enlightenments of the bolts through the clouds and, in a case of a very electrical storm, it can be a real sound and light show.
In this artwork, the arcus, underlying the bottom of the cumulo-nimbus, is enlightened by a intra-cloud bolt. The rose-colored light is due to the rain.
This artwork is sold unframed so you can chose your own color for the frame and the mat. As the paper has a satin effect, it reflects the ambient light. It has been a voluntary choice in order to emphasize the atmosphere of this scene, even if it has been quite difficult to take a photo. That is why I wanted to show the artwork in two different angles of light.
