Years ago, I used to make ornamental windows for the houses that I designed. I recently ran across the sketch that I used for one of them. I was intriged by the drawing and used it as a model for Oracle I and Oracle II. I have included a photo of the original sketch to show the resemblance.
This piece is India ink and acrylic paint on archival grade, architectural drafting film. It is an original work and no authorized copies will ever be made.
The painting size is 18” X 24"” It is mounted on tempered masonite hardboard with a hanging strip on the back. The overall size, including the mounting board, is 6” wider and 7” taller than the size of the painting itself. A coat of flat varnish is added to protect the work and eliminate the need for glass. It can be immediately hung unframed or, if you prefer, a more formal frame can be added. We include a drywall hanging device that will support the weight of the artwork.
The painting is signed on the front and has a signed certificate of authenticity on the back.
