The break up of the ice on the St. Lawrence. The shore is distant and in perspective, but if you keep looking at the far shore without shifting your eyes, the chunks of ice closest to you are blurry, out of focus, and moving. That is what I attempted to capture in this painting - the feeling of movement and cold.
All of my artworks come with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity.
I use professional quality canvas on a wooden stretcher and only paint with professional grade acrylics with high quality color pigments that have very good to excellent resistance to fading. The sides of the painting are painted black to frame the painting in a neutral colour. It is wired and ready to hang.
