Vision On Art / Galerie Ludwig Trossaert - take a look at http://en.calameo.com/read/00006261226483cfaf2a5 - Argentina Zamora is guided in her work by various heterogeneous sources of inspiration. It is Life in itself, reflected through human beings and their different forms of expression. In her class of painting one is confronted with a mental transfer in union with her images. They are overlapping, recovered, twined and intertwined, laid down next to each other ..
AZ creates dynamic figures with expressive eyes; intriguing, lost .. Their faces are mystic, their bodies ethereal.
Above all they show the influence of a strong personality. Sometimes the observer finds an interesting psychological face/ challenge: the struggle of the conscious and unconscious world. The existence of these visual perceptions and their emotional effects show how intimate the artistic creation is linked with the artist’s inner world.
The abundant palette of colors, where a brilliant light trespasses from back to front, and the recognizable forms with the broken contours force the spectator to recompose them in the mind.
It is with this colorful expression that AZ has passed through the different series of her career. Now, with the Tango, the double vibration shows itself with a come and go of past to present; from happiness of before to a sadness of today, with memories and nostalgia.
Like a demiurgo/halfgod/magician that orders and reorders the universe following its whims, AZ assumes a similar responsibility by rethinking a new European landscape on her canvas with brilliant colors, because her eyes were dazzled by the hundreds of years old presence – if not thousand years – of secular architecture taken up into ecstatic grounds, in between alleys of long history, in between stones and tiles, towers and bell towers, carrying the weight of traditions.
Past breaking the logical gravity supported by these walls, windows and roofs of cities which were agreeable to her spirit, AZ brings us - in images - to her city, to her landscape , freed from that immobility that is to be found in other urban forms, in other heavens, but – paradoxically - showing proudly the cradle of her origin. -
In this presentation the exhibitioner offers another face of her tireless artistic chore which keeps its unchangeable endowment of the draughtsman of the closed line, where the methodical control of the palette stays valid. Even though it jumps from one tone to another in each and every canvas, it always seems self-maintained, coherent, and far away from “Fauves” intentions.
What is shown to the viewer tends to motivate him concerning what is logical in the logic. It introduces the viewer into the fiction of what was a reality. It urges him to start from irony, deception, mockery and even nightmare in each canvas. Another form of vibration.
But what is so remarkable with AZ is to detect with plastic clarity, in this continuous search, an adventure which shows a route, with sure steps, and creates openings in this entangled panorama of the visionary world, appealing to use fair arms and no easy gadgets. "
