Artist's description:

This work on paper is a selection from the Tenebrist Period. In this period, I have been creating tenebrist or 'shadowy' figurative paintings, as well as connecting my dissertation research into it, to create new conceptual works of art. This work involves the study of gnomonic projection, which is the study of light and shadow, and the creation of sundials. The architect that my dissertation is about, used gnomonics as part of his theory of architecture.

Materials used:

Graphite on paper stained with coffee
