Artist's description:

Memory of a personal journey to Eastern Zimbabwe in 1989. The soapstone carvers make abstracted forms from local rock, bringing forth the often hybrid animal/human figures which appear miraculously as if from another dimension.
We rode in small buses, smelling the rain and red dust of the landscapes. Hung out with locals and ate sadza.
