My Favourite Author is Charles Dickens. His novels are full of colourful characters. I have painted Dickens-inspired scenes before. This time I have decided to paint a scene with Oliver Twist and the Artful Dodger. Some of the background characters feature in paintings in the Victorian era that I thought would suit the scene well.
