A colourful mountain landscape painted outdoors in the beautiful Alpujarras area in Southern Spain. Olive trees are one of my favourite trees, they grow at such odd angles and twist around to make such wonderful shapes. Every possible patch of earth has olives or orange trees on it, growing and yielding amazing crops on what seems like parched land but is irrigated with channels of melted snow from the high peaks.
Painted in thin layers with some scraffito, with Golden Open acrylics on to Clairfontaine 360g/m special acrylic paper.
This painting is framed in good quality beech wood which has a lime waxed finish with a wide cream mount. The glass is museum quality non-reflective glass.
