This old turkish quarter in Balcik, actually inhabited mostly by gypsies, is situated at the bottom of an emblematic limestone rocky hill, often chosen as motif by painters. I was attracted by the panoramic view seen from an opposite hill of the city.
First I draw the lines with pen and ink, then I painted it with watercolors, and finally I completed the drawing with pastels.
