A scenic mountain landscape painting, painted in muted ochre, grey and brown colours, with an atmospheric sky.
In this painting I have tried to portray the atmosphere and mood of the wild and remote, often desolate and deserted mountain wilderness areas of the world. Whether it is a moorland scene or western desert, barren of all things man made or even living trees or wildlife. Where often the silence is broken only by the silence itself.
Painted in a contemporary gestural style with a palette knife and fingers.

Painted using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
