Original artwork description:
One of my passions is Open Water Swimming, whether in the sea - my favourite - or in a beautiful lake close to my home. The clarity of the moment is all, when you are at one with the water and its movement over your skin.
It was one such moment in the sea, when I just felt like a goddess, slim, weightless, graceful (all of the above I wish) the water just wrapping itself around my body creating rivulets, shapes and feelings.
So here she is, I called her Oceana mainly because that is where she was conceived in my heart and head, but also she is a mythical goddess of the sea. She solidified my thoughts and dreams at that particular moment in time.
Materials used:
printing inks, Somerset Velvet paper 300gsm
