I mixed a beautiful palette and the colours and the paint took me for a walk around the park, first in this one and then for a second painting, Oasis in the City 2. Sometimes this happens with a painting - the paint has a clear mind of where it wants to go and I oblige. I like the colours and the shapes and the sense of place and light - an oasis in the city. This is my interpretation of the paintings, but the joy of an abstract is that someone else may look at it and see something completely different. I love that - the individuality and the freedom as you resonate with a painting. It's a very special kind of pleasure . . .
The paintings, which stand alone and would also look good hanging as a pair, are on good quality 300gsm paper/card.
