Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

A photograph made early on a spring morning in the Nevada desert outside Las Vegas. When I showed this image to a friend, he said that it reminded him of the paintings by Modigliani. While I can understand what he is seeing, I like to think that the model looks like one of the figures seen in the paintings by Ingres.

This is a silver gelatin print, made with 11 x 14 inch fiber based paper. The image size is 12.5 x 10 inches. It was printed by the photographer in a darkroom - not by a machine connected to a computer.

The print was made in 2010 and is number 1 in an edition of 25. It will be shipped in a 16 x 20 inch matte.

This photograph earned the Juror's 1st Award (i.e. top prize) in the 2015 Photographic Nude juried exhibition at the LightBox Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.
