Artwork description:

I'm fascinated by the endlessly malleable curves and lines of the human body. I'm particularly attracted to portraying the nude in block print for the way that the curvature of the figure contrasts with the rigidity of the material. Furthermore, stripped of clothing we become our most vulnerable, fundamental selves. To sit with our bodies as they are and to confront our imperfections, both physical and psychological, is to surrender to our emotions are their most raw.

As all prints are hand pressed, each will have some minor differences, which I believe adds to the character of the print. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the edition featured in the photo.

Materials used:

linoleum block, Caligo inks, Ho-Sho paper
