Artist's description:

This composition was based on a series of collages I did, and is a "reverse painting" on plexiglass. The image is painted on one side of the glass, but the image to be seen by the viewer is on the opposite side of the glass. It can be a challenging but very exciting way to paint, as one will not know how the result will turn out until one pulls the protective paper coating off the opposite side of the plexiglass. What appeals to me most about this piece is its similarity to faded Roman wall paintings.

Materials used:

Acrylic, plexiglass
