This vineyard on the North Fork of Long Island, USA, is just a short distance from my home. It's a beautiful vista, and I often stop to admire it. There are many vineyards in this area, and more than 30 wineries. The growers here used to grow potatoes in these fields, but changed to grapes two or three decades ago, making the North Fork a successful wine-producing area. This painting was done with a knife, and shows lots of texture.
