Artist's description:

Something Series "Fearless Youth"

This piece has been taken from a series of 10 paintings. (1 of 10 - all different) 3 have already sold at shows.

The series is a reflection on my 20s....and how we change, develop, our perceptions and perspectives on life, love and work. We feel we are invincible, untouchable. My 20s were a rollercoaster, emotionally physically and mentally. I am a totally different person to who I am today and I think a majority of people can relate to this. The paintings are a reflection of my past and memories Poignant times and moments that make me who I am and where I am today. (Woaaaah deep I know).

This particular piece, is a dedication, to the women and a love that women share in this world, to all the women in my life especially the women who were there, without question, supported, encouraged. You are everywhere to me, my girl.

The paint has been applied using ink rollers, brushes, palette knives and scrapers. Lines have been aided with masking tape or free hand.

Colour palette: Varying shades of Pinks (inc. fluorescent pink), deep reds/burgundy, brown, taupe, and blues.

My paintings are never an entirely flat/smooth surface. Layers and layers of paint are used creating natural lumps and bumps across the canvas, sometimes completely intentional and sometimes not. I use lots of different paint types, experimenting with texture and the final finishes you can achieve with each one.

All 4 canvas sides/edges are finished with a white emulsion. The edges will not always be totally smooth, as there may be some lumps and bumps from paint that has run over the sides and some of the colours may still be ever so slightly visible.

The name and number (Right) of the artwork is handwritten on the back of the canvas on the top stretcher bar, not usually visible. Just lift up the bit of canvas below the staples and there it will be.

*Please note: There are no fixings in place for hanging, nor do I supply these. This is up to yourself the buyer to decide and execute depending on whether you want the artwork to hang in situ framed or un-framed.*
