Artist's description:

This fibre based sculpture comes about from an interest in Anthropology and Traditional housing. It is connected with my interest in Indigenous culture and nomadism. I believe we have gone wrong somewhere when we left our hunter/gatherer lifestyle. I think this is why I believe so strongly in the cultural protection and preservation of living indigenous cultures. Being from Canada I have seen the destructiveness of Indigenous lives, and feel this injustice has yet to be addressed. On the formal level, I love elevating craft to a high art form. For me this is a model, which I would love to see in a larger version at some point.
