Artist's description:

I first saw this tug breaking ice in Muskegon, Michigan at sunrise. Upon arriving in Holland, Michigan near sunset I found it again, diligently working to break the ice in the channel in front of the lighthouse. It took a few hours, but at sunset it backed up as far as it could go, tooted it's horn, the people assembled cheered, and it rammed through to the channel all the way to the harbor.
