This is an October 1995 evening photograph of a White Fleet Cab on an unidentified street in the French Quarters in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The cab is marked as belonging to Wm. A. Marks, Inc. but I never talked with the driver so I have no way of knowing if the dignified male in this photo was Wm. A. Marks. Mardi Gras beads can be seen hanging from the mirror on the inside of the windshield. The curious expression on the face of the taxi driver is evidence I did not ask permission to capture this image.
This photograph was created from a Kodak Tri-X negative scanned with a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED and processed via Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop before being printed as a giclee on archival 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
