A typical snow scene of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Las Vegas, New Mexico where I studied art with Skinny Schooley at Highlands University. The New Mexico landscape is mysterious and spectacular at times. Weather is unpredictable with hail storms in the summertime as well. My paintings derive from memory and photos that I took years ago when my work was sold in the Blue Door Gallery, Taos. This painting is highly textured in an Impressionist style.
