Nelly fled Congo to start a new life in UK. She runs a tiny african food shop, and has become something of an interpretor for other refugees from Africa who have come to settle in Plymouth.
I know nothing of her life in Congo other than the fact that it was sufficiently intolerable to warrant her bringing her family to a foreign country to start again.
She is a brave, proud woman, and I feel that this work shows that, without having to know the reasons why.
