Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain and forms part of the Zew Zealand Alps. This photograph was taken near Mount Cook on a wintry morning and captures the majest of the location.
Clicking the shutter in the first stage in a process of producing a print like this. The image will be worked on in post production to bring out the emotion in the photograph. I try and create a mood which is communicated with the viewer.
For those interested in the technical issues, I print all images myself on to mold made paper from Hannemeulhe. The company was founded in 1584 in Germany so they know a thing or two about paper!
I use Epson Ultrachrome inks which are archival quality. Expected life before any fading is 100 years under UV glass
