Nature 591 — Abstract Teal Feathered Bloom (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Muriel Napoli

I started Nature 591 watching something open instead of close. A slow spread of white across the canvas, the way a bloom or a wave lets go all at once, and I wanted to hold that instant of release still.

I laid the gesso first, then flooded fluid ink into water and let it travel. Here the ink pulled itself into long filaments and dried with feathered edges I could never have drawn by hand. The teal came last, thinned and translucent, settling inside the white rather than on top of it. The darker core at the base is where the pigment gathered and refused to move, leaving grains and cobalt sparks scattered all around it.

Stretched on a solid wooden frame with carefully finished 4 cm (1.5") deep edges — no frame needed. The work arrives ready to hang, signed on the front, with a certificate of authenticity. Packed with maximum protection for safe international shipping.
