Painting: Acrylic on 400gsm paper
Size: 29cm x 21cm x 0.5cm
This painting has been created using high quality acrylic paint and a range of gel mediums. Layers of translucent colour have been scored and drawn into with an assortment of pencils, pens and other mark-making tools, creating subtle textural qualities and the depth.
These images are based on my feelings about the expansive and mysterious landscape of the Cambridgeshire fenlands. There is a strict framework to the regimented division of fields and the orderly rotation of crops, but the land is never totally acquiescent. As you look across the open fields you invariably find pockets of silent resistance.
This work on paper is sold unframed but has a 2 cm border that will allow it to be framed within a suitable picture mount frame. The surface is Hanhnemule 400gsm archival paper, finished with a protective varnish to ensure the longevity and integrity of the work.
This work will be packaged carefully and posted in a hard backed, sturdy envelope.
The work is signed and dated on the reverse.
Keywords: abstraction, landscape.
