Artist's description:

Limited Edition Of 10 Canvas Prints. An original collage of my handmade printmaking, personal photography. Collaged in photoshop and printed on high quality canvas with UV coating for longevity.

Gallery wrapped deep Canvas prints come "ready to hang" with wire on back.
The image is wrapped around the deep edges of the canvas so it can be hung without a frame.

Media: Archival Canvas Print
Style: Stretched Over 1 and ½ inch (3.8 cm) deep Wooden Stretchers
Print Size: 30" x 40" in USA

Print Size: 76 x 100 cm UK

My technique involves several media, many hours, and lots of trial and error. I first print images and textures by hand to get the background textures. These are monotypes, or one of a kind prints on paper. Then I photograph those textures with my Epson scanner and layer them digitally with my original photographs of pinecones, flowers, plants etc. Many hours and test prints later, I come to the point where the final combination of elements looks harmonious and the values are right...not too dark or light overall. This type of art is hard to classify, since it's technically digital printmaking, but it's a collage of handcrafted work and photography, so I am placing it into the "Manipulated Photography" category, for want of a better one. All the content is my own. I do hire a print studio to do the final printing simply because I don't have the equipment to print so large and I trust them to do high quality work.

All prints are printed with my signature and corresponding limited edition number or signed and numbered by me.

Note: Artwork shown in home setting is a digital rendition and may not be to scale. Please use a tape measure and use dimensions in artwork description to acquire accuracy. Due to the differences between centimeters and inches please allow 3/4 inch tolerance on all finished canvas prints.

Description Of Artist's Emotional and Technical Process

Emotional Process

All my work involves trying to get inside the essence of the thing, whether that's a bird's nest, a falling pinecone, a leaf. Nature feeds me and my creative process.

Technical Process:

I layer different textures and mediums which allows me to channel my inner painter, printer, photographer, draftsman--you get the idea.

The final art work is designed in photoshop.
