From the series of works on Namibia.
According to this people's tradition, to each age corresponds a certain hairstyle. Teenagers wear hair pulled up in this way.
I cannot imagine what thoughts made the girl gloomy at the time the photo was taken, our worlds are far away. And that's what I find fascinating.
