This is a new kind of Moroccan mandarin orange called a Nadorcott. It's a painting I just finished in oil on canvas.

I'm trying to learn to paint as realistically as possible. But photorealism is not my goal. I simply want to learn enough to be able to adequately reproduce images for the conveyance of beauty and meaning.
