Mono print based on the Kentish landscape where I live. Postage is included.
I am drawn to the energy and freedom in the process of making mono prints. Each mono print is a unique piece of art. Mono printing is a form of printmaking that has images or lines that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, where there are multiple originals. There are many techniques of monoprinting. Examples of standard printmaking techniques which can be used to make monoprints include lithography, woodcut, and etching. I think that is why I like the process, as I like the immediacy of the work and the texture and colours that can be conveyed on a surface and then are transferred to paper.
Landscapes that I base my work on in my local area are lush green for most of the year. Kent's rolling landscape is flecked with ancient forests; hushed magical places carpeted with bluebells and bracken and full of twisted trees. The beauty of creating a mono print of my surrounding landscape in this media reveals a spontaneity and creativity of a surface that is unlike any other art.
Please contact me if you are thinking of acquiring more than one piece of my work, as postage for international purchases can be combined.
