Original artwork description:
Just before midsummer the meadows of Upper Swaledale are ablaze with wild flowers, particulalry meadow cranesbills . I traveled there especially to paint this plein-air, 30x24'', oil painting. The blue of cranesbills is hard to capture but I think I got pretty close in this painting
It's come unframed but is painted round the edge and is ready to hang. It will, of course, look better in a good frame.
