Artist's description:

The poetry of Seamus Heaney always comes to mind when trying to match words to landscape, ideas to images: this excerpt is from his Glanmore Sonnets -

I dreamt we slept in a moss in Donegal
On turf banks under blankets, with our faces
Exposed all night in a wetting drizzle,
Pallid as the dripping sapling birches.

Painted in oils on canvas and framed in a solid wood frame.
