Artist's description:

One of the best days of our New Zealand tour was the one spent in Tongariro National Park, even though it was a cloudy and overcast above the mountains despite being sunny all around.

We almost got to fly over the three volcanoes that sit very close to one another - although all three are very different mountains. However, the cloud cover remained too dense for viewing from the tiny plane we were on the point of hiring, so the pilot said he wouldn't want us to be disappointed and suggested not going up. Very good of him to be honest.

So we did the next best thing and drove up one (Mt. Ruapehu) and round the others. This is a view of Mt. Ngauruhoe from the Desert Road, the subject of another of my pictures in this collection.

As with all my images of this size, this is dry mounted on a backing board to avoid wrinkling in future. A double mount inside a black or white contemporary box frame sets this image off beautifully.

I prepare this picture slightly offset towards the top of the frame.

Alternative sizes, print methods and substrates are available. Please contact me through Artfinder to discuss your preferences or possible options if you have a particular budget in mind.
