Taken from an image in the book TT Pioneers by Robert Kelly with the kind permission of the publishers The Manx Experience. The picture shows Arthur MacDonald in the 100HP Napier nicknamed Samson at the bottom of Bray Hill, he is competing in the 1905 Gordon Bennett trials from which he retired after he ran into a wall in Ramsey on the third lap.
