Original artwork description:

I made this surrealistic and pop art piece as a play on the concept and structure of Salvador Dali's beautiful brooch called "Ruby Lips" (Lips made of rubies and teeth of pearls). This is a big sculptural wall piece. It is quite light considering, as the structure is made of carved polystyrene which is fixed onto a backing of plywood. The teeth are made of the mother of pearls (oyster shells).

Materials used:

plywood, polystyrene, glass tile, gold leaf glass, milliefiori tiles, oyster shells, grout
