Artist's description:

"Mother and child" limited edition 2/5, from the art project named SAMSARA
technique: mixed media illustration printed on canvas in limited edition of 5
Signed and numbered
size: 50 x 70 cm
framed in modern Ikea white frame with glass

Project description:
My concept is based on thought about "Samsara". Etymology and origin Saṃsāra means "he flows into himself," to perpetually wander, to pass through states of existence - the cycle of death and rebirth to which life in the material world is bound.

Circle of life is cruel, circle of life is beautiful, its a wheel of fortune, its a mysterious ride, it is instinctive and primal, delicate and fragile ugly and graceful, innocent and corrupted at the same time. Birth, grow, learning, loving, exploration - they are all balancing and swinging with the symbols of fading, fear, decay, loss - it is just a reflection of constant unstoppable change and evolution.
I wanted to bind two opposite parts of life, beginning and the end in a very symbolical and iconic way -. to celebrate the life, love, light, hope but to show at the same time how easily corrupted, changeable, erasable and vanishable they can be, wondering that way how united are the beginning (birth) and the end (death), how close and inseparable are one to each other in every single moment of our journey in this world and is there something beside true love for someone or something that gives a real meaning and virtue to our lives...
